"It shouldn't be just up to millennials" BCBS companies deliver innovative solutions to improve health

Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies are working to improve the health of Millennials by investing in data and ideas that support long-term solutions for America's largest workforce.

In 2019, The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) launched the first Health of America Report on Millennial Health.  The study identified health conditions that reduce the quality of life for a third of millennials. Those conditions include major depression, hyperactivity and type II diabetes, which had the largest growth prevalence for millennials when compared to the national population.

Following the report, BCBSA held a series of listening sessions across the country as well as a national summit.  Since then, BCBS companies have launched new initiatives that address the unique needs of this generation with a wide range of solutions.

Watch this story to see how BCBS companies are leading efforts to fundamentally improve the health of millennials across America.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association is a national federation of 36 independent, community-based and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies that collectively provide health care coverage for one in three Americans.
